| Rachel's Crafted Prayer One morning I was reading from Jeremiah chapters 31-33. It made my heart jump with excitement as I read it and reread it pulling out the blessings that are ours under the new covenant. I jotted all the blessings down, trying not to detract or add anything, keeping it in the same order as it was in the Scripture. When I looked at it I discovered that what I had was a prayer of covenant, a prayer of thanksgiving and a prayer of declaration. So in that moment, I lifted up this prayer for all those that I knew who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. There is power in speaking the truth. Join with me in praying these truths for your friends and family. Be His, Rachel Father, I thank-you that Your law is written in our minds and on our hearts. You are our God, and we are Your people. We shall know You and seek to know You more. Thank-you, that You forgive our iniquities— our sin You shall remember no more. Thank-you, that You cause us to dwell safely. Give to us one heart and one way that we may fear You, our God, forever for our good and for the good of our children. Lord, thank- you for Your everlasting covenant. Thank-you, that You will not turn away from doing us good. We ask that You put fear in our hearts so that we will not depart from You. Thank-you that You rejoice over each one of us to do us good. When we call on You—You will answer and show us great and mighty things we do not know. Thank-you that You bring health and healing to us and reveal to us the abundance of peace and truth. We praise You that after repentance comes healing. We ask that we would be to You a name of joy, a praise and an honor before all the nations of the earth. I declare that the nations shall hear of the good You do to Your people. Yes, the nations will shake for all the goodness and all the prosperity that You shall provide for Your people. We shall be a branch of righteousness! Amen. Jeremiah 31-33 & Hebrews 8:7-17 |
